Suzy
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Suzy is a valuable part of the dental team who always performs her duties with a positive and caring attitude. Among Suzy’s duties as a registered dental assistant are teaching hygiene to patients and their families, ordering supplies and assisting both Dr. Ruby and Dr. Rochon. Suzy has enjoyed working with the children in our practice since 1999. She has a son named Elijah, who means the world to her. In her spare time, she enjoys caring for and watching Elijah grow and now entertaining the newest member of her family… a puppy!
Susan
Business Manager
With over 17 years of experience in the dental profession, Susan is an indispensable part of the dental team. Because of her genuine personality, exceptional listening skills and mediation abilities, Susan is greatly appreciated by the team. Susan and her husband had the good fortune of raising their two adult children in the Santa Barbara community and being involved in a variety of local school and youth activities. Her love of children makes Drs. Ruby and Rochon’s pediatric practice a perfect match for her. Susan has many hobbies, but her new favorite pastime is her granddaughters, Emily and Kaitlyn and Taylor.
Jennifer
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Jennifer brings with her a wide variety of experiences from her previous dental homes. We are pleased to have Jennifer on board. Jennifer’s main responsibilities include assisting Dr. Ruby and Dr. Rochon in delivering patient care and helping to maintain the back office area. Jennifer has been an RDA for ten years. She is a transplant from the Redlands area and has made her home in Santa Barbara. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and pursuing craft projects and travel.
Kayla
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
We are pleased to have Kayla as a team member. Kayla brings with her previous experience in a pediatric dental office from Atascadero, CA. You will find Kayla’s bright smiles helping out with direct patient care these days. Previously spending most of the time in front office, we are now fortunate to be able to share her with our team members in direct patient care. With her diverse experience, Kayla is a great asset to our team. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Jenna

Jenna recently joined our Team at the end of 2011. Jenna was born and raised in Santa Barbara and was a patient of Dr. Ruby’s from a young age. Jenna has a degree in Anthropology but decided to pursue a career with Drs. Ruby and Rochon in order to take on a new challenge. Jenna enjoys physical fitness and spending time with her family and friends. Jenna is an extremely hard worker and is dedicated to learning the field of dentistry. We are excited to have Jenna’s energy as a part of our team!
McKinlay
Front and Back Office Support
McKinlay joined the Team at Dr. Ruby and Dr. Rochon’s in May 2011. McKinlay is a full time student at UCSB. She is pursuing a major in Sociology with a minor in Art History. In her free time, she enjoys visiting her baby niece, spending time with family and friends and working on her art. McKinlay is a wonderful addition to our Team and is a great fit with the kids. If you get a chance to meet her, you will see why we all consider her a ray of sunshine!
Mackenzie
Front Office/Treatment Coordinator
We are beyond excited to welcome Mackenzie to our team! Mackenzie was born and raised in Arizona. She moved to California to pursue her education and Drs. Ruby and Rochon scored the jackpot when she decided to relocate from Orange county to Santa Barbara to start a new life with her soon to be husband! With over 13 years of experience in the dental field, Mackenzie is a great asset to the team. Her life long love of helping people helped her fit in seamlessly with our team and our mission of caring for children. In her spare time, Mackenzie enjoys being outdoors. Whether hiking, biking or sporting, you’ll find a big smile on this gal’s face!
Sarah

We are so pleased to welcome Sarah! While not new to pediatric dentistry, Sarah is new to pediatric dentistry in Santa Barbara! Sarah joined our team at the beginning of 2012 when she gave up commuting to Santa Clarita area in order to focus more on her studies at Santa Barbara Community College. Sarah has been a great fit with the current team. Her positive, “can do” attitude and commitment to excellence are just two of her amazing gifts. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys working out and spending time with her family and friends. Welcome aboard Sarah!
