Dr. Rochon received her DDS from University of the Pacific, School of
Dentistry in San Francisco. She then completed a General Practice
Residency (hospital based dentistry) in New York City. Upon
completion of this program, Dr. Rochon returned to Northern
California and worked in private practice until she decided to pursue
additional training in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Rochon completed her training in the specialty of pediatric
dentistry by undergoing a two year post-graduate program at the
University of Maryland, School of Dentistry. During this training,
Dr. Rochon worked with all ages of children from infant through
adolescent. She was trained in limited orthodontics, children and
adults with special needs, medically compromised patients as well as
routine, healthy children. She spent time completing rotations in
the hospital including pediatrics and pediatric emergency. Dr.
Rochon also treated many patients under general anesthesia in the
hospital operating room as well as performing the majority of
restorative care to the children in the dental clinic without sedation.
This training gave Dr. Rochon a good basis for her next training
program. Upon completion of her pediatric dental residency, Dr.
Rochon entered and completed a two year residency in anesthesiology.
During her training at UCLA, Dr. Rochon provided comprehensive
anesthesia, including general, local, spinal, epidural and conscious
sedation to all varieties of patients for orthopedics, GYN, OB,
opthamology, ENT, general surgery, dental and other types of
procedures. Her training was both in hospital operating rooms and
private offices.
Dr. Rochon decided to join Dr. Ruby in his practice in 2004. As a
team, Drs. Ruby and Rochon provide comprehensive care to their dental
patients.
